BOMBAY BRASSERIE - A MAGICAL AFFAIR BETWEEN THE CLASSIC AND CONTEMPORARY

A traditional Indian restaurant with a contemporary touch and a unique bouquet of flavors, Bombay Brasserie presents a bigger spectrum of Indian cuisine.  Bombay Brasserie has been conceptualized and created to celebrate the Flavours of India after a sturdy culinary research. This modern and chic restaurant symbolically reflects India itself with all its diversity and brings together a range of culinary influences from Goa, Mumbai, Bengal, Gujarat, North and South India together. After establishing its elegant presence in  Coimbatore, Chennai, Kolkatta, the Brasserie found it's way to excite the Bengalureans.

Being conveniently located in the busy bustling streets of Indira Nagar 12th main. Bombay Brasserie is a tasteful and magical mix of ambience, location and a tantalizing quirky menu. Seems, even people from Bollywood feels this place as an exceptional one, Yaeh..trust me people,  I witnessed Deepika Padukone relishing the food with her family.  The classic ambience with a splash of vibrant colours and the local food seems to attract its top clientele.

A week back, I was here with a couple of my friends to experience this quaint little place, It was also a Friday , Godddd the crowd was insane and Deepika Padukone in the other corner of the restaurant, we were all set to relish our classical Indian dishes in a modern way with a touch of quirkiness, The top notch service is what elevated the whole experience and made it an enjoyable night out .

Come, lets experience the magic

Ambience :

Fresh, posh, chic, relaxing, ubercool, smart, youthful, warm!  Name it and you will feel it with the ambience of Bombay Brasserie.  The restaurant feels so contemporary with a lovely splash of white and fresh blue colors.  Whether you choose to sit in the wooden swing seating's in the airy sit-out or the opulent dining room, Bombay Brasserie guarantees you with a relaxed atmosphere and a perfect setting to enjoy your ideal meal.  The feel here is very fresh, warm and youthful.

Some ancient props like age old cup-board, typewriter, tiffin dhabas, ceiling lamps and colorful mosaic tiles gives a classic touch.

The Appetizing and Visually Creative Food Journey :

The menu in Bombay Brasserie is a fantasy and full of cute little wonders, one is sure to get that smile when you read through the menu.  The menu is also inspired by coastal classics.  We started off with The 6 Chutney Papd Tokri which had two varieties of papads and 6 types of chutneys to dip through.

After the Karamura start  we went in for Small plates like Aam Papad Paneer, a spicy and tangy preparation which had crispy aam papad to it, Chilly Cheese Kulcha was the "Star of the Day", every bite of it was pure bliss and indulgence and people went so cray for it.

Naga Ghost Pepper Wings is something which i have to talk about because this one was and is gonna be my most favorite dish at the Brasserie, The delicate chicken wings carefully sourced and cooked to perfection deep through the bone with the tasty marinade of  Naga Viper Pepper which is the world's hottest chilli. You need that guts to handle the heat, but trust me guys you will love it, It's fun, Try it out! .

Naga Ghost Pepper Wings - My favorite, too hot to handle, but its fun.

Calcutta Club Fish Fry was most enjoyed by the fish lovers, The vegetarians gave a big shout out to Mushroom Pahadia.

In Hot Plates and Street Grills, we ordered the Kashmiri Naan Kebab which was a long naan with long and juicy mutton sheek kebab served with mild pickled onions and a tangy walnut sauce, Turned out to be my favourite. One plate of this should be heartily sufficient for two people.

Old Delhi Murg Boti is the Handkerchief Roti ( Roomali ) served with rustic chicken boti curry, green chutney and sliced onions. This will instantly transfer you to the Purani Dilli.

In paired curries , we tried the Bombay Lunch Home Veg Curry and Banana Leaf rice.  It was aromatic rice steamed in banana leaf and tasted the best with the mixed veg curry prepared with mumbai's own coastal masalas. The curry jar was topped with crisp string fryums was an added beauty to the presentation and tasted great too.

We also tried their Coast to Coast Chicken with mixed seed roti and Mario Mango Prawns with coconut rice.

Paneer Sirka Pyaz, a tangy paneer curry prepared with pickled pearl onions and tomato based gravy turned out to be veggies favourite and they heartily paired it with the Chur Chur Paratha, which is a layered and flaky paratha with some secret spice powders splashed over. Bombay Dabba Ghost and Red-Hot Kerala Fish curry was too good, we paired it with their organic brown rice

The chicken briyani which we all loved

Drinks :

Me, tried their mocktails Angoori Soda, Nashik black grape juice with roasted cumin powder, lemon juice and fizzy soda, Was not a huge fan of it though, But their Kallangadi Quench was a very refreshing and relaxing mocktail made with watermelon juice and a zing of lemon where round chunks of watermelon were doused in.

Desserts:

The Brasserie excited us with Amritsari Kulfa and Bombay Ice-cream Sandwich.

Presentations were done brilliantly to such simple and rustic dishes which elevated the whole experience to a posh dining.

Service :
Top-notch service, the wait-staff's are too courteous and focused towards every patrons inspite of the place being heavily crowded . The wait staff's don't forget to put this sweet little surprise on every table.
