Veg Momos 




Ingredients:

All purpose flour/ maida  -  3/4 cup
Water  As needed
Salt - 3/4 tsp
Oil – ¼ tsp

For Stuffing:

Finely chopped cabbage    -    1 cup
Finely chopped garlic        -    1 tblsp
Onion                                 -    1 onion           
Salt                                     - as per your taste
Pepper                                - as per your taste
Soya sauce                         -  ¼ tsp (optional)
Ajinomoto                          -  ¼ tsp
Salt                                     -  as per your taste
Oil                                      -  ¼ tsp

Method:

Mix flour, salt and oil  in a bowl and add water to make a smooth pliable dough. Just like our poori dough. Keep aside covered.

In an other pan mix the chopped cabbage, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, soya sauce, ajinomoto and oil,  mix them well and keep aside. ( I avoided to stir fry the vegetables in oil because the stuffing inside the  momos turn out to be lil oily )

Then make the dough into small sized balls ( like a gulab jamun size ) and roll the small sized dough as we will do it for poori

Then stuff the vegetables which we have kept aside

Now carefully fold this into a momos shape ( like what we do for modak, . I have not made it a perfect momo shape. )

Then carefully place these in the greased plates of  your idli maker and allow it to steam for 5-8 minutes..

Now your hot hot momos are ready

Enjoy them with Momos Chutney.
