DELIGHT YOUR GASTRONOMIC SENSES AT JW KITCHEN, JW MARRIOTT HOTEL BENGALURU WITH THEIR ROYAL AWADHI FOOD FESTIVAL

We often visit a lot of places and what stays with us is the experience, that one good and sophisticated experience which will make your palates dance with joy, flavors that will invade your plate and when you soak in such kinda experiences, you also connect with your own inner-self. One such precious experience that found it's way to my heart is the ongoing Awadhi Food Festival at JW Kitchen, exclusively curated by none other than the ace Chef Rehman Mujeebur. JW Marriott as we all know is a stunning property where the creme de la creme of Bengaluru hang-out and JW Kitchen is a 24/7 restaurant that serves a hearty 5-star buffet with food festivals popping out then and there making sure that their patrons get pampered the prince/princess style.

This time around, join The Crumb Stash as I take you all through an exciting food trip to Lucknow, one of the culinary capital of India, but from the kitchens of JW Marriott, Bengaluru.  Awadhi food is especially known for its richness, exotic spices, dry fruits and nuts, lip-smacking juicy kebabs and biriyani's,  the Nawabs had a royal touch to every food they did.  I was so happy to see JW Kitchen doing the regional speciality well orchestrated and it was a royal indulgence. When it's Chef Rehman Mujeebur, I must admit that the food is nothing short of ecstasy!  This amazing Awadhi Food Festival is on there till the November 4th and is one such experience that I wouldn't want you to miss.

As you enter JW Marriott, you get to walk your way through a stylish and an opulent lobby with huge chandeliers hanging which is truly a state of an art installation and there comes the JW Kitchen with all the plush interiors perfect for you to become a couch potato and binge on your favorite food. We kick-started the dinner with some kick-ass array of starters that was well marinated and slow-cooked to perfection. The Murgh Tikka Mirza Hasnu was so delicate and juicy, the flavors of garlic and yogurt were brilliant.

An Awadhi Food Festival without the melt-in-mouth Galouti Kebabs is incomplete, the aroma of the hot-hot galouti kebabs made in the live counter hit all my senses rightly and I couldn't resist myself grabbing a plate of it. The Galouti's was a rock star of the festival and it's the softest kebab I've ever tasted.

The Paneer Tikka Achar Masala and the Kale Chane Ki Kebab was truly a winner for the vegetarians. All these fire-kissed kebabs were flavorsome and these aromatic treats will surely transport you to the grilled food-heaven Lucknow.

The main course was truly a mouth-watering indulgence. From Lagan Ka Murgh (delicate chicken flavored with kaju, saffron and many other aromatic spices)  to Tamatar Machli to Bong Zaffrani Nihari with the Sheermals that had golden hues completely stole the show for me. With the carnivore mode on, my plate had a variety of meat, it was literally an escapade that graced with an explosion of flavors.

By this time, my stomach was full, But how can I leave without tasting their classic Zaffrani Murgh Pulao, I took a couple of spoonfuls and found out that it had the maximum hit of flavours.

Okay, Now folks who are vegetarian, don't you worry! You will also absolutely love this fest as the chef has taken special care and attention to prepare some delicious and flavourful vegetarian fare too. What was on the menu you ask?? From the Veg Sheesh Pulao to Ahamri Paneer Korma, Aloo Katli Lazeez, Nawabi Baigan Bhurta to Lahsuni Zeera Bhindi the vegetarians will have an interesting experience too.

We finished off the meal with some yummy varieties of Awadh desserts like Chukander E Afroz, Sheer Khurma, and  Doodh Ki Kheer. We also tried a few other desserts from the routine buffet too.

My Overall Experience:

They say that Food is the way to a persons heart,  Accepting this fact and also understanding the increased interest of both the consumers and the chef's on regional delicacies and regional food festivals, JW Kitchen has perfectly delved into it and surprised their patrons. Adding to the feel-good weather of the city with warm smoky kebabs, lip-smacking curries, biriyani's and desserts JW Kitchen gave a stellar experience, this fest is on there till the November 4th guys! So don't forget to check it out.

Let me know how your experience was. Would love to hear from you all.

Happy Eating!

  5. I am from Lucknow so you can imagine how much I love Awadhi food. However being a strict vegetarian I enjoy only vegetarian dishes. The pulao sounds good. It's a shame that I have not even tasted Chukander E Afroz,Sheer Khurma and Doodh Ki Kheer even once.
