PUNJAB GRILL - A JEWEL IN THE CROWN OF NORTH INDIAN CUISINE
Wanna indulge your taste buds in something rich ?? Wanna dine like a King/Queen ?? Then, Punjab Grill is your destination.
Boasting of its true flavours, Punjab Grill is nestled in the busy bustling streets of Koramangala 7th block and it is a typical North Indian restaurant. What makes Punjab Grill stands unique is it's culinary treasure with bold textures and hearty ingredients. The food here is way too rich, robust and full of life. One of the most impressive thing about Punjab Grill is its menu - a lot of their signature dishes are all expertly crafted. Right from the taste to the plating to the service it's all superlative here. The warm hospitality that is bestowed on their customers is something that takes your heart away. "Customers are the King" for them.
A group of few bloggers were here to try out their Signature Series. A very big thanks to Abhinav Varma and his crew for being such a sweet host. A warm welcome from the crew, the tempting tandoor aroma's wafting around the restaurant, the live kitchen where the chef passionately elongates the naan, star dishes cooked in desi ghee, sexy desserts with a lot of buzzing food talks were the scenes of that Saturday lunch.
Come, let me take you all on a royal journey of this Luxury Collection.
Ambience :
Punjab Grill's ambience is so enthralling and is sure to captivate you with it's striking interiors. The look of the place is more subtle and modern which adds to it's class. A variety of dining spaces are spread all over the restaurant. In-door dining with private space elegantly draped in soft silverish gold tones when drawn closed provides a privacy to your dining which is very perfect for a family/friends/team dining.
There is a classy and composed bar too with the choicest of drinks that can be enjoyed alongside your meal.
The live kitchen adds to the aura of the whole space.
There is a open out-door dining space too where you can enjoy a perfect and a romantic dinner date.
Now come's
The Feast !!
We were served the Signature Series where every dish is carefully and expertly crafted. The food here had an exceptional mix of spunky ingredients and different cooking techniques. Punjab Grill brings out that rustic punjabi flavour alive in a traditional clay oven. May it be a vegetarian/non-vegetarian Punjab Grill never fails to excite their patron's palate.
We started with the Paneer Multan, where the finely layered paneer was coated with subtle spices, wrapped in a golden marinade and tandoor cooked. The dish had an inviting smoky aroma and was a pandora of flavours.
The Beet-root Peanut Tikki is an irresistible ruby red colored beauty interestingly done with peanut butter and cheese stuffing. I bet this can bring alive even the most mundane affairs. I liked the Dahi Ke Kebab too, it was perfectly done with a crisp outer layer and melting stuffings of pepper and hung curd inside.

Murgh Malai Tikka , boneless chicken tikka prepared with a Malai marinade, tandoor cooked to perfection.

Chaamp Taajdar is tender lamb chops mixed in with a range of flavours and charcoal grilled. This was a "Star Dish". All my convives loved this preparation and went so cray over this. A stunner of recipe which is completely spice-packed, flavourful and a fragrant starter.

Tandoori Pomfret was too good, Again a favourite of everyone. Yaeh it was a tribute to the cuisine of five seas. So soft and tender which had its own voww-factor and the flavour-punch left us all finger-licking.

We went in ordering some Garlic Naan which went very well with the Murgh Lababdar, juicy chicken pieces bathed in a dreamy creamy gravy topped with oodles of cheese. Cheese lovers go for it. I know its gonna be a paradise to them, Raarhya Meat at Punjab Grill , is undoubtedly one of the best lamb dishes i've ever had. Juicy mutton chops and the finest lamb minces were perfectly spiced up and cooked to perfection and they were criminally addictive i say!!

Not to forget the Sarson Da Saag, i must admit here that, this is the best Sarson Da Saag i have ever had in the city. The blend of combined greens create a sensation with a hearty and crisp Makki ki Roti, when accompanied with some white butter and jaggery. awwww it was heaven, a meal in the form of a combo.

Daal Punjab Grill is a queen of all the daal preparations i should say, very creamy and rich which went very well with the rotis and Jeera Rice.

The Happy Time Now:
What desserts can do, make people happy right?? Punjab Grill perfectly made us happy with their Gulab Jamuns, seems that they show their love towards their patrons with the Gulab Jamun size... Yaehhh, it was so huge and we were served with three flavours, nutella stuffed, nuts stuffed and the old-school style gulab jamuns.

Hmmmm, now who would not like these flavours.. So, we just digged in and every bite of it was like going to heaven and coming back. They din't stop with this, we were also presented with the Flaming Gulab Jamuns ( jamuns in rum ) which was indeed a visual treat. Kulfi Falooda, a unique one, plate kulfi's served with pistachio and almond shaving and noodles.

The Show Stopper : Paan Shots
Paan shots is an after-meal sweetener which gives a break from the customary chewing of pan. One of the best after meal treat that i've ever had. We all enjoyed this stuff , deserves a 5/5 here..
The Crumb Stash's Verdict:
There are good restaurants and great one's too. The good ones offer a pleasing meal and experience, but a lot of effort, planning and implementaion goes into making a great restaurant which will for sure blow you away. Punjab Grill is a true celebration of all senses and stands out Great. What makes it extra special is their hand-picked raw materials to retain the true flavour of the dishes.
Soo, now you know , when you have hunger pangs or any special occasions or when u simply crave for good Punjabi food with a twist, Punjab Grill is a must visit. This place is worth spending every penny.
My Rating's based on quality, quantity, service, taste and ambience : 5/5
